Nestoria is a search engine for real estate, operating in eight countries. We partner with major media brands to create the simplest way to search sales and rental listings. Over three million people use Nestoria every month to find their next home.
#geomob is a quarterly meeting of London location based service developers that we organize. If you enjoy playing with geodata and talking about it over beers we look forward to seeing you at the next #geomob.
A defining theme across our businesses is a concentration on manipulating large volumes of data, particularly data with a geographic aspect. On the business side we strive to build stable, long-term relationships with our partners. We believe in saying what we'll do, then delivering it.
It all started in 2006 when Lokku was founded by Javier Etxebeste and Ed Freyfogle two internet veterans who had met while previously working together at Yahoo! Europe. We've been fortunate to put together a great team of like-minded folks to help us on the way.

From the first day our focus has been on creating compelling digital services that put the user first, while also winning the trust and long-term commitment of our clients. Today we're proud to say that our international team works closely with many of the world's major media brands (rest assured though we're also proud to work with some scrappy start-ups). We're always on the hunt for more opportunities, please get in touch if you see potential for collaboration. If building digital businesses sounds like fun, we are hiring.
Lokku is privately held. Like all UK companies you can check out our numbers over on duedil.

We're currently recruiting
All positions will, unless stated otherwise, be based in our Clerkenwell office (central London).
Yes, we need you too, but first we need the positions listed above. We're always interested in finding out about smart, motivated people. Dash us a note and let us know why you're the one.
We're a very international team of circa 15 people. Some are hardend and calloused internet veterans. Others are fresh-faced youths looking to make their mark on the digital world. Either way we focus on building cool services that people enjoy, while also making us money.
Our goal is not to be 100+ employees. We want to keep it small and fun, which means that everyone needs to be a superstar. We promise people here three things: you will work hard, you will learn a lot, and you will share in the rewards.
Hell no, that's not all! Besides good people (which honestly is the most important perk you can have at any company) we also offer:
Send us a CV, we'll file it in our system, maybe in three months someone will get in touch for a phone interview; that person may then refer you to someone else who will phone interview you without having read your CV; there will be a lot of confusion and starts and stops and you won't have any overview of the process. Wait! Sorry, I forgot, we're not one of the big internet companies. Here's how it works: you send us a CV, tell us which position you're interested in, and we'll get back to you quickly with more details if we believe you are a qualified candidate.
Be aware - especially for permanent positions, our process is exhaustive. We do not hire many people. We accomplish a lot with few people (see a presentation on this by Ed given at UK ScaleCamp in Dec. 2009) so we need to ensure you're the right match for us. We'll ask you to complete written tests, take part in multiple interviews, and even to spend a day working with us. Don't be put off - we want to ensure you will thrive at Lokku.
No agencies please.
All applications will be treated confidentially.
We look forward to hearing from you, just shoot us an email with your CV to verticalsearchismyfuture(at)lokku.com.
Since we started our business in 2006 our core asset has always been our team. Some of us are savvy digital veterans, others have gained their first experience in the online business world here at Lokku. A diverse and international bunch, some of the team bring their skills to Lokku full-time, others part-time, and many use a paid Lokku internship as a chance to explore life at a start-up.
Post-Lokku team members have gone on to finish their degrees, move into academia, found their own start-ups, travel the world, experience the pain of big internet company life first hand, or just try something different. All have left with detailed knowledge of a profitable internet business from the inside.
If you are a Lokku alumni please make sure you join the private Lokku Facebook group where we send out details of all team events (and post embarassing pictures) to which alumni are gladly invited. We look forward to seeing you at the next one and toasting your post-Lokku successes!
Interested in being a part of it - working hard, learning a lot, and building something you can be proud of? We're always on the hunt for new team members. Join us.
