What's this all about?
We're a small, highly-experienced team based in London building consumer internet sites. We're hiring. We need you.

What do you mean "consumer internet sites"?
Specifically we mean vertical search engines. We launched our first brand, Nestoria, in the summer of 2006 in the UK.

What is Nestoria?
Nestoria is a property search engine. We offer the service for Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, France, and Australia and are working on other major markets. Please have a look, we're grateful for any feedback (positive or negative).

Nestoria now has over 1,500,000 users a month (according to comScore) and works together with almost every major media brand in the markets we're in. What positions are available?
We're currently recruiting for: All positions will, unless stated otherwise, be based in our central London office (in Clerkenwell).

Umm, I don't match those positions exactly, but I'm still smart. Surely you need bizdev, sales, marketing, usability, PR, janitorial, financial and lawyer type people as well. Can I join?
Yes, we need you too, but first we need the positions listed above. We're always interested in finding out about smart, motivated people. Dash us a note and let us know why you're the one.

Who will I be working with?
We're a very international team of about 15 people. Some are hardend and calloused internet veterans. Others are fresh-faced youths looking to make their mark on the digital world. Either way we focus on building cool services that people enjoy while also making us money. See some of the fun we get up to over on one of our blogs: for example Christmas 2009 or Summer 2009.

Our goal is not to be 100+ employees. We keep it small and fun, which means that everyone needs to be a superstar. We promise people here three things: you will work hard, you will learn a lot, and you will share in the rewards.

Okay, I'm interested. What's the process from here?
Send us a CV, we'll file it in our system. Maybe in three months someone will get in touch for a phone interview. That person may then refer you to someone else who will phone interview you without having read your CV. There will be a lot of confusion and starts and stops. You won't have any overview of the process. Ahh no wait, sorry, I forgot, we're not one of the big internet companies. Here's how it works: you send us a CV, tell us which position you're interested in, and we'll get back to you quickly with more details if we believe you are a qualified candidate.

Be aware - especially for permanent positions, our process is exhaustive. We do not hire many people. We accomplish a lot with few people (see a presentation on this by Ed given at UK ScaleCamp in Dec. 2009) so we need to ensure you're the right match for us. We'll ask you to complete written tests, take part in multiple interviews, and even to spend a day working with us. Don't be put off - we want ensure you will thrive at Lokku.
